COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Ohioans are ringing in the new year as more winter weather makes traveling conditions slick for partygoers around the state.

The National Weather Service said Monday the start of 2013 would bring a freezing drizzle and snow in the southwest part of the state. A bit more snow accumulation was expected to reduce visibility for some drivers in central and in northeast Ohio, where up to 4 inches was forecast by New Year's Day.

Some areas already had as much as a foot of snow from winter storms last week.

Temperatures were hovering around the freezing point.

Most of Ohio's ski slopes and sledding hills are up and running after last week's heavy snow. Some areas got more last week than during all of last year's mild winter.
