Several improvements were made on L.A. Bariatrics’ website, the weight loss program of Marina Del Rey Hospital.

Though the website was launched a a few years ago the staff at L.A. Bariatrics continues to improve it.

Not long ago the FAQ section was developed. Each question was separated and their answers expanded. The patient resource page was completely redesigned now being more helpful to readers.

The L.A. Bariatrics team added a bariatric glossary to the website making it easier for the readers to look up bariatric terms they might not understand.

“I believe this glossary is a great addition to our website” – said Dr. Korman, medical director at L.A. Bariatrics. “We medical professionals are used to these medical expressions and we tend to forget that not everyone speaks this language. We included many bariatric terms and we encourage our readers if they find that we missed some of the terms they are interested in to contact us.”

The weight loss center’s certifications are a new addition to the website as well as Dr. Korman’s certifications and profile logos. L.A. Bariatrics expanded its social media as well; they have a new Pinterest and Foursquare account.

Monthly newsletters are coming up about L.A.Bariatrics’ social media life, about the annual bariatric reunion and the program’s physicians.

“We wanted to reach out to our patients in every way we could” – stated Dr. Misra, bariatric surgeon at Marina Del Rey Hospital’s weight loss program, L.A. Bariatrics.
