YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A Youngstown man admits he lied under oath and passed bad checks.

Forty-two-year-old David Venerose pleaded guilty to passing more than $8,000 in bad rent checks and perjury in the probate case of an elderly woman he was caring for.

The prosecutor is recommending probation if Venerose makes a $10,000 restitution payment to the now deceased woman's estate.

Venerose owes the estate more than $67,000.

Two additional perjury counts would be dropped if he continues to pay back the estate.
