JOHNSTON TOWNSHIP, Ohio - One Trumbull County community wants some control over the impact of the shale boom.

Johnston Township trustees voted on imposing fees on energy companies.

A $10,000 fee would be charged for injection wells used to dispose of wastewater brine from the drilling process.

Oil and gas well drillers would be charged $2,000 per well.
