NSG Precision Cells with the assistance of Atago now can offer customers a brix refractometer for almost every situation imaginable. Complete with digital, hand-held and benchtop models, NSG is able to cater any specific needs of its customers.

Farmingdale, NY (PRWEB) January 17, 2013

NSG Precision Cells is proud to reveal their new advanced high-end Brix refractometer, an indispensable device for today’s researcher and industrialist. Brix refractometers are for measuring sucrose concentrations in aqueous solutions. They are primarily used in wine making, the carbonated beverage industry, fruit juice and the starch and sugar industry.

The brix refractometer can be used at home or in a laboratory. The device measures numerous high concentration samples such as jam, marmalade, jelly, honey and concentrated juice plus sauces like ketchup, marinades, soy sauce and many other sauces.

NSG offers several advanced brix refractometers that measure all types of sucrose concentrations in aqueous solutions. Their product line consist of digital hand-held, wine Brix refractometers, milk Brix refractometers and their master series that measures a variety of concentrations in the low to high range.

Hand Held Brix Refractometers

The hand-held comes in a wide variety of models. All hand held Brix refractometers have measurement accuracy between Brix +-0.1% and Brix +-0.2%, are dust-tight, protected against water jets plus have a measurement time of just 3 Seconds. Depending on the model, the hand-held can have steady measurement values and require "zero-setting" (calibration), be water resistant and have dual scales of Brix full range of 0.0 to 93.0% plus a Brix ±0.1% and refractive index with a resolution of 0.0001. There are also specially designed hand-held devices for the maple industry and for measuring percent dilution of cleaning liquid and hydraulic oil.

NSG’s Master Series Brix Refractometers

The Master Series Brix refractometers are for measuring brix content in aqueous solutions that offers high precision. There are a variety of models that are specially developed for different concentrations. Some of the models have Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC) and a Daylight plate for small volume samplings. There are low concentration models where Brix is 10% or less. These models are ideal for measuring fruit juices and cutting oil. Depending on your necessities, there are over 8 low concentration models to choose from.

The mid-range concentration levels have a measurement range of Brix 28.0 to 62.0%. This model is good for sauces and low sugar jams and spreads. The mid-high range has a measurement range of Brix 45.0 to 82.0%. It is perfect for high concentration samples like condensed milk, concentrated fruit juice or jam.

The high-range model has a measurement range of Brix 58.0 to 90.0%. It is best for high sugar contents like malt, honey or jam. The Wide-Range Brix Refractometer has a measurement range of Brix 0.0 to 53.0% and is perfect for measuring various beverages and sauces.

Milk Refractometers

Milk Brix refractometers are for measuring the Brix concentration of milk. The NSG line has a measurement range of Brix 0.0 to 23.0% plus Automatic Temperature Compensation with water resistant properties. In addition, the Brix refractometer has a measurement accuracy of MILK +-0.5 (10 to 30 degrees C).

Wine Refractometers

NSG’s line of wine refractometers includes hand-held, the master series and the pocket digital.
The hand held models are compact and lightweight. They are portable and can be used both outdoors and indoors. There are 6 models available which include Automatic Temperature Compensation, ambient temperatures of 10 to 40°C and have a measurement time of 3 seconds.

The master series are used for measuring grape must concentrations. There are 5 models available that come with dual scales. The devices are easy to read and hold, have smooth and easily disposed samples and are well balanced. The master series also comes with Automatic Temperature Compensation and are water resistant.

The pocket digital is designed to operate of under extreme environmental conditions such as high humidity. This device is fast, accurate and easy to use. It has a measurement accuracy of Brix ± 0.1% and is equipped with External-Light-Interference (ELI) that enables extremely precise measurements.
