Sentencing expected for Poland bookkeeper for theft

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A bookkeeper from Poland charged with stealing from his employer will be sentenced after changing his plea to guilty.

Thomas Morris is accused of using a company check for personal use.

The real estate investment firm, TRI T&J, estimates it's loss at more $84,000.  

Brandon Davis, a partner at TRI T&J, said when the theft was discovered the company offered Morris a chance to settle the loss.

Morris could be sentenced to 18 months in prison and fined up to $5,000.
