The 11 men had just recently came forward in a lawsuit against the diocese and Third Order Regular Franciscans in Pennsylvania where Baker was a member.

The Diocese of Youngstown released a statement Saturday morning stating Brother Stephen Baker was dead.

In the statement, Bishop George Murry of the diocese said  that Father Patrick Quinn, provincial of the Third Order Regular Franciscans, announced Baker's death.
