YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (AP) - Kamren Belin scored a career-high 24 points as Youngstown State topped Horizon League rival Cleveland State 73-59 Saturday.

Belin scored nine consecutive points during an 18-0 run in the first half that put the Penguins (12-8, 4-3) ahead 42-25.

Youngstown State jumped to a 14-6 lead over the first 4 minutes, and led 21-11 following Belin's 3-pointer with 12:19 left until halftime. The Vikings rallied with 10 consecutive points and took a 25-24 lead with 6:44 left. D.J. Cole responded with two free throws for Youngstown State, sparking the 18-0 run.

Cleveland State (10-12, 2-6) pulled within 56-50 on a 3-point play by Bryn Forbes with 9:19 left. Cole responded with a 3-pointer, followed by Kendrick Perry's fast-break layup and 3-pointer for a 64-50 edge with 7:17 remaining.

The 14-point margin of victory was the Penguins' largest in the rivalry since 1983.

Forbes finished with 19 points.
