Slick roads blamed for 2 fatalities in Columbiana County

LISBON, Ohio - A slippery road in Columbiana County was the scene of two deadly accidents on Monday morning.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol tells 21 News that two head on crashes occurred along State Route 517, northeast of Lisbon.

Twenty-two-year old Megan Thornhill of Lisbon died after her car collided with another vehicle around 7:30 am.

Four hours later, not far away, 77-year-old Mary Burt of Columbiana died when the car she was riding in was involved in an accident.
