St. Elizabeth's Dental Residency Program awarded the James F. Quilty Champions of Oral Health Award

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -

The Ohio Department of Health Tuesday recognized the achievements made within St. Elizabeth's Dental Residency Program. The program and its staff was awarded the James F. Quilty Champions of Oral Health Award, which is give to dental professionals who positively impact the oral health of Ohioans.  The St Elizabeth's Dental Residency Program has been providing care to under-served families since the 1970's and it continues to expand its services.

"This year we were up 22% in our number of patient visits we took care of in our ACC clinic, our ambulatory care clinic here and up 30% in our mobile dental van services," said St. Elizabeth's Dental Residency Program Director Dr. Frank Beck.

In the last five years, the residency program has doubled its operating space.  It now has 8 operating rooms.  It also has added more employees to help staff its addition of a second mobile dental clinic.
