Fusion PPT's report on application performance management (APM) was featured on the cover of Information Week.

Vienna, VA (PRWEB) February 07, 2013

Fusion PPT, the industry leading cloud computing strategy and technology firm announced today that its report on application performance management (APM) authored by CEO Michael Biddick was featured on the cover of Information Week reports.

According to the InformationWeek 2012 Application Performance Management survey of 300 business technology professionals APM is less trusted, less desired and less used than it was in 2010. APM still continues to be of importance to the industry but the fact that so many virtual environments do not support the applications still remains a problem. Despite the low tolerance for application issues and the importance of applications themselves, fewer than 40% of the organizations in our poll utilize APM tools.

The key to defining a successful APM deployment is defining the metrics that will be used to calculate meaningful performance to the business. And, with 31% reporting APM as a high priority, many organizations will continue to invest heavily to resolve pesky application issues and relate them back to the business.

In this report we look at a number of factors that contribute to IT’s disillusionment with APM. The bottom line is this: APM is still useful, but success means being smart, being selective and looking beyond legacy tool providers. The read the entire report, please click here.
