Washingtonvile man appear in court on hit and run charge

SALEM, Ohio - A Washingtonville man went before a judge charged in a hit and run accident that killed a nine-year-old girl.

Twenty-seven-year old Todd Roberts is charged with aggravated vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of an accident.

Investigators say Roberts was driving the truck that struck and killed Olivia Thompson along State Street in Salem last November.

Roberts is due back in court next month.
