Sharon School Board expected to name Wildman head football coach

Updated:

SHARON, Pennsylvania - It appears the Sharon football program is digging into its past to lead them into the future.

21 Sports has learned that former coach Jim Wildman is the leading candidate to take over the Tigers program.

Wildman is no stranger to the Sharon football. He was their head coach for 25 years, accumulating 208 wins before stepping down in 2001.

During his first tenure, Sharon advanced to the state championship game, in 1994 and 1995 and won 10 District 10 titles.

Prior to becoming the head coach, Wildman was an assistant in the program for eight years.

The Sharon School Board is scheduled to meet Monday and to announce their decision.
