CLEVELAND (AP) - Ryan Broekhoff scored 15 points to lead five Valparaiso players in double figures as the Horizon League-leading Crusaders defeated Cleveland State 80-72 Saturday to sweep the season series.
Valparaiso (19-6, 9-2), which beat the Vikings 74-50 on Jan. 4, has won three straight games and 9 of its last 10.
Kevin Van Wijk added 14 points, Bobby Capobianco 13 and Will Bogan and Erik Buggs had 10 apiece for the Crusaders. Valparaiso shot 60.9% from the field (14 of 23) in the first half to lead by as many as 18.
The Vikings (12-13, 4-7) could get no closer than nine in the second half until Bryn Forbes' fourth 3-pointer for the final margin.
The Crusaders scored 27 points off 17 Vikings turnovers.
Forbes, a freshman, scored a career-high 24 points, making 8 of 10 field goals and 4 of 4 free throws.
Cleveland State outrebounded Valparaiso 33-20.
