3 car accident in Boardman Township

BOARDMAN, Ohio - A three car accident in Boardman Township, that involved a Boardman police cruiser, sent two women and an officer to the hospital.

It happened near the intersection of Glennwood and Melbourne Avenues.

Police tell 21 News that the cruiser was southbound on Glennwood when a Honda traveling westbound on Melbourne crossed in front of the police car and was struck.

The cruiser careened off that car and hit a van.

The officer and two women were transported to St. Elizabeth Health Center with non-life threatening injuries.
