Get Personal With Style Created by Painted Cabinets from Armstrong Cabinet Products

THE COLONY, TX (PRWEB) February 13, 2013

What’s the next new color in kitchen cabinets?

Once upon a time, kitchen cabinets came in just a few neutrals – white, natural, light or dark brown, sometimes black or even the occasional red. Now, color is not just for the daring; it’s for everyone, as companies like ACProducts, Inc., makers of Armstrong Cabinets, offer new color choices that make for some good-looking kitchens.

Today, colors from couture fashion shows go straight from the runway and into the home. Like in the fashion industry, color and style is an important component of the Armstrong Cabinet Products line, which is offering new enamel hues that include Alpine White, Onyx, Sage, Slate and Vanilla Cream, for a highly-stylized look and smooth finish to kitchen cabinets.

The new paint colors are available in all birch and maple door styles in Armstrong Cabinet’s exclusive Allwood™ construction series, and brings affordable fashion, quality-construction and great value to builders, professional remodelers and homeowners.

Several coats of heavily pigmented semi-opaque paint is applied to the wood to create a rich, beautiful color while still allowing some of the natural beauty of the grain to remain visible. These painted finishes offer a consistent appearance and complement the clean characteristics of the wood.

Thanks to the popularity of the painted finishes, five glaze options – Brown, Caramel, Pewter, Taupe and new Frost – will be available with the new paint colors, providing over 40 paint, stain and glaze combinations from which to choose. Cabinet finishes and glazes can be used to create a number of desired effects, and glaze accents provide a contrast against the lustrous finish of the cabinet doors and drawers.

“White cabinets are beautiful and clean, but color can make kitchen cabinets really stand out, as long as you balance it with neutrals so as to not overpower your kitchen,” said Laura DiFazio, brand manager, ACProducts, Inc. For example, DiFazio suggests Armstrong Cabinet’s new Slate painted cabinet door as a main accent color, while keeping the countertop and backsplash neutral for a rich, livable effect.

“Painted or stained cabinets can work independently as a 'statement' or as a backdrop to countertops and flooring,” she said. “Now people have the flexibility to stylize their cabinets to suit their décor and personal style. These new colors open doors to limitless design options.”

Armstrong Cabinets was recently purchased by American Industrial Partners (AIP) and the new company will operate under the name of ACProducts, Inc. ACProducts has a limited license to use the Armstrong brand name and operate under the Armstrong Cabinet Products trade name during a license term of two years.
