AKRON, Ohio - Cold water and even colder temperatures couldn't keep hundreds of people from jumping into a lake on Saturday in Akron.
Almost 500 people signed up to take part in the 10th Annual Portage Lakes Polar Bear Jump.
The high temperature on Saturday was a bone-chilling 25 degrees, but the brave souls took the plunge anyway.
The teeth-chattering event is for a good cause. This year's proceeds will benefit the Akron- Canton Regional Food Bank.
