CORTLAND, Ohio - Police are investigating threats found on a wall at a middle school caused Friday.

The superintendent Perry Nicholas confirmed A message was found on the bathroom wall of Maplewood Middle School threatening to "shoot up the school." Nicholas said he immediately contacted authorities who arrived on the scene to investigate.

After interviewing school officials and students, officials confirmed nothing was found. The superintendent said that in response to the investigation and because officials were not sure how long the message had been there, they decided not to evacuate the school.
