Teachers honored by the The Youngstown Area Alliance of Black Educators

Posted: Updated:

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A luncheon was held on Saturday at the McGuffey Center to salute black educators.

The six honorees have all dedicated their lives to educating and helping students achieve their dreams.

Those being honored all served students in the Youngstown City Schools for over 30 years each.

The Youngstown Area Alliance of Black Educators says all the teachers are models of commitment and hard work.

"We consider it this way, teaching is not just a career, it's not a job from eight to three, but it's a passion. We want to recognize the achievements of those educators that just retired," said Traci Cain, President of The Youngstown Area Alliance of Black Educators.

Congratulations to those teachers who have made a difference in the lives of children.
