WASRREN, Ohio - As part of the celebration of Black History Month, an annual Hall of Fame ceremony was held in Warren on Saturday night.

It is the 28th year for the dinner, presented by the African American Achievement Association. Each year the organization recognizes contributions of African Americans in Trumbull County.

There were six new inductees into the organizations hall of fame in recognition of their contributions to their communities.

"Tonight we'll be talking about our youth. The children are our future and education is the key and that's what we're trying to do, inspire our youth," said Robert Davis, President of African American Achievement Association.

21 WFMJ's Community Relations Director, Madonna Chism Pinkard, took part in the event.
