HOWLAND, Ohio - A fundraising benefit was held on Sunday to help a man who lost his mother and all his possessions in a fire.

George Davis saw what happened to David Morris on the news and organized a Cornhole Tournament and spaghetti fund raising dinner.

Neighbors who know David Morris say he is the first to pitch in and help in the neighborhood so they wanted to lend a hand during his time of need.

The fire at the Howland home on DeForest happened January on 25th.

"He lost his mom and the house was a total loss. We're trying to raise money to get him back on his feet," Davis said.

Organizers thanked all of the Valley businesses that made donations especially the Golf Dome which donated space, and Alberini's Restaurant which provided the food.
