Mercer County police search for suspect in rash of vehicle thefts

HEMPFIELD TOWNSHIP, Pennsylvania -  Police in Mercer County are searching for an Erie man they believe is responsible for a rash of vehicle thefts.

Hempfield police say at least three pick-up trucks and an ATV were stolen sometime on Tuesday. Two of the vehicles were located in Hempfield Township.
 
When police arrived, they say two men fled the scene and at one point attempted to run an officer off the road.

Police are now looking for 29-year-old Aaron Michael Braden of Erie. He is described as a white man with a shaven head and blue eyes. He is about 6"4 and weighs 230-pounds.

The other suspect has not yet been identified.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact police.
