Linguine with Shrimp and Red Pepper Sauce

Another fantastic recipe from our friends at Gia Russa. We're using a new product available at Sparkle, red pepper spread. Try it!

1 lb. raw shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 lb. Gia Russa linguine

1 jar Gia Russa Medium Red Pepper Spread

2 Tbsp. olive oil

1 clove garlic, minced

1/2 cup white wine

chopped green onions for garnish

salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Cook linguine according to package directions to al dente. Drain pasta, reserving one cup of the cooking liquid. Season shrimp with salt and pepper and sauté in olive oil over medium-high for two minutes, add garlic and sauté for an additional two minutes. Deglaze pan with white wine, reduce heat to medium, add red pepper spread, salt and pepper to taste and simmer for six minutes. Add pasta and some reserved cooking liquid from pasta to thin sauce to desired consistency. Toss to combine and garnish with green onions.
