NILES, Ohio - The Niles Sportsman's Super Show and Sale kicked off at the Eastwood Expo Center in Niles Friday. The show runs through March 3rd.
The annual event offers bargains on gear for fishing, hunting and camping enthusiasts.
The show features more than 150 exhibitors selling name brand merchandise at discount prices. Buyers will find tackle specials, hunting equipment, turkey calls, tree stands and camouflage clothes, boots on sale.
There are also seminars on hunting and fishing, turkey, deer, coyote, food plots, steelhead, walleye, bass & crappie.
For fishing enthusiastics there are specials on rods and reels and boating accessories, electronics and more.
Visitors can also get informamtion on boats, ATV's, vacations and charter trips. For the kids, there are live animals on hand as Heather Merit's 'Birds of Prey' will be up close and in person and the exotic petting zoo provides a hands on treat. .
FREE Rods will be given for the first 100 kids on Saturday and there will be FREE Reels for the first 100 kids on Sunday when accompanied by an adult.
You can even talk to gold prospectors or fish in a live trout pond and shoot at the archery range or the shooting simulator. There are also club raffles for guns, dogs and fishing trips.
Performing Saturday and Sunday is the Country Pride Bluegrass Band along with ongoing seminars, demos, and giveaways.
The Eastwood Expo Center is located behind the Eastwood Mall off Rt. 46, in Niles.
Hours are Friday, 12 noon to 8pm.; Saturday 10am-7pm. and Sunday 10am-5pm. Admission is $6.00 and under 12 are FREE. Free parking and plenty of it.
