WARREN, Ohio - A new Warren business advertising itself as a private club is being ordered to shut down by city officials.

A cease and desist order will be issued by the mayor's office for the Stilettos Private Club, located on 2226 Mcmyler Street, according to public records.

The business had registered with the state last December but 7th Ward Councilman Eddie Colbert said that there were some issues with the permits filed.

The website for Stilettos offers private parties complete with snacks and a hot tub. The business is also listed as a "bring your own bottle," or BYOB establishment. Colbert said these offerings and guidelines could possibly violate some official health guidelines.

Another issue that could arise would be the quick development of the business. The site of the establishment was previously a warehouse and Colbert said that there could be some zoning issues with the conversion to a club.

Colbert was not completely sure of the specific permit issues though but expects that he and/or the city will speak with the owner about the business to clarify things.
