YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Youngstown State men's basketball team opens tournament play on Tuesday against Loyola and it appears they'll be without Kendrick Perry again.

Coach Jerry Slocum says Perry is making progress, but not enough to make a definitive decision.

"That moves from a definite "no" before to "I don't know right now." If you had to point me into a corner I'd say probably not. But it's working well. If we're able to get past tomorrow, I don't think there's any question he'd be ready to go on Friday," Slocum said.
