YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Another grim discovery was made on Youngstown's east side on Tuesday.
Around 6:30 p.m., a search dog found what appears to be a human jaw bone in the area of Vaughn Avenue.
That's the same neighborhood where a human skull was found two weeks ago. Police and a search dog will most likely return to the area Wednesday morning.
"We know the body of the deceased is in this area somewhere. But with weather conditions, more snow may be on the way tonight (Tuesday), it's tough to do a real thorough search," said Lt. Doug Bobovnyik. "We've even considered electronically monitoring the dog so we can track its whereabouts over a week and hopefully get somewhere with that."
The jawbone found may belong to the skull discovered last month. While the victim hasn't been identified, it's believed to be a male around 35 years of age of mixed ancestry.
