HOWLAND, Ohio - One of the longest tenured high school football coaches is retiring.

Dick Angle is ending a 40 year career which has included15 years at Howland.

Angle will make the official announcement on Thursday and is closing the books on a stellar career.

He was the head coach at five different schools and took Howland to the playoffs 10 times, including six years in a row; .and has a career record of 262-168 and 3.

Angle was also the head coach at Ursuline, Keystone Oaks, Kennedy Catholic and Lakeview, Pennsylvania.

The furthest he took a team was to the state semi finals and that was with Ursuline in the early 80s.

Its expected Angle will spend more time with his young grandchildren who live in Florida.

So who will replace Angle? Sources tell 21 Sports Director Dana Balash that long time defensive coordinator Dominic Menendez is a candidate for the job.
