Private club faces definition trouble

Posted: Updated:

WARREN, Ohio - The future of a private, adults-only club may depend on how the city defines the business it just shut down for not filing permits.

Stiletto's, 2226 McMyler St., may not be able to reopen at its current location if the city classifies it as an adult cabaret.

The director of the city's Building Division, Paul Makosky, tells 21 News the city has a ban on adult cabarets within 500 feet of a residence.

The club, which is described as catering to adults with a "swinging" lifestyle on its website, is located across from homes on McMyler Street.

The city temporarily shut down the business this week when they realized the owner failed to file for proper permits.
