BERLIN CENTER, Ohio - Animal Charity is planning to press charges against a kennel in Mahoning County.

Wednesday humane agents seized 29 dogs from a Berlin Center residence where the owner sells the dogs online.

Animal Charity Humane Society Executive Director Talia Musolino said the animals were found living in unsanitary conditions and were mostly covered in feces and urine.

"They [humane agents] found there was many outdoor kennels that also went indoors as well but they looked like they hadn't been cleaned for probably weeks.  We don't have an exact time frame just yet.  We're still kind of investigating and getting all the details but they looked they had been, there was feces, there was urine. They were kind of living in their own feces and urine unfortunately," she said.

Mahoning County's Assistant Dog Warden Dave Nelson said the bigger dogs wouldn't let the smaller dogs eat the food and the water hose was frozen.

The owner told Nelson that she hasn't been able to properly clean and care for the animals because she is 34 weeks pregnant.

Animal Charity is looking for foster homes because they don't have the facility to house the dogs. Animal Charity also needs donations of bleach and blankets.
