Noise ordinance case dismissed against Niles

Posted: Updated:

NILES, Ohio - A former Niles police officer settled a federal lawsuit he filed two years ago against the city.

Robert Ludt filed a suit claiming the city was not enforcing the noise ordinance after he complained about loud music coming from McMenamy's Restaurant and Banquet Center near his home.

Court documents indicate that the case was dismissed after a settlement was reached between Ludt and attorneys for the city's insurance company.

Terms of the settlement were not released.
