Fantasy Lumberjack Prizes Include STIHL Chain Saws and a Trip for Two to the 2013 STIHL TIMBERSPORTS Series World Championship in Germany

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., March 7, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- STIHL Inc., creator and producer of the premier lumberjack sports event, the STIHL® TIMBERSPORTS® Series presented by Ram Trucks, announced today the launch of Fantasy Lumberjack, the first-ever fantasy game for lumberjack sports. Fantasy Lumberjack will be hosted on the Official STIHL TIMBERSPORTS Series Facebook page throughout the 2013 season, kicking off March 15 with the Southern Qualifier hosted by Auburn University. In the STIHL TIMBERSPORTS Series Fantasy Lumberjack game participants act as owners to build a team that competes against other fantasy owners based on the statistics generated by the real individual athletes competing in the STIHL TIMBERSPORTS Series. Fans will have the opportunity to pick which lumberjack athletes they think will perform the best in each event of the 2013 season for the chance to win a STIHL chain saw and a trip for two to the STIHL TIMBERSPORTS World Championship in Stuttgart, Germany Oct. 25-26, 2013. Six STIHL chain saw winners will be identified following each event for the 2013 season based on the highest number of points accumulated per event. The trip to Germany for the World Championship will be awarded at the culmination of the STIHL TIMBERSPORTS U.S. Championship to the user with the highest accumulated points generated throughout the entire season.
