Two teenagers arrested in Liberty for robbing a young mother and - 21 News Now, More Local News for Youngstown, Ohio -

LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, Ohio - Two teenage suspects are jailed, accused of robbing a woman and her 6-year-old daughter at an automatic teller machine in Liberty.

The 25-year-old victim from Youngstown describes a night of terror after stopping at the Chase Bank branch ATM on Belmont Avenue Thursday night.

The woman says two men wearing masks came out of nowhere, put a gun to her head, and then pistol whipped and robbed her with her 6-year-old daughter in the car.

The woman who asked that we not identify her says, "He started repeatedly hitting me in my head with the gun. He just kept hitting me, and hitting me, and I tried to dial 911. All I could do is hear my daughter in the back screaming, ‘Mommy, no. Why? Mommy I love you, mommy I love you.' I said I love you too baby, just calm down. I said mommy's going to be okay."

The victim angered by the crime of violence committed in front of her little girl, says she then tried to follow the suspects, and get their license plate number.

As the masked men ran to a car parked in back of a neighboring business, the victim got a good description of their vehicle, and immediately called Liberty police.

Quick action by Liberty police led to the arrests of two teenage suspects.

Seventeen-year-old Edthaniel Trayvon Tarver of Sycamore Drive in Campbell is charged with aggravated robbery and endangering children. He's being held at the juvenile justice center.

Eighteen-year-old, Denzel Deonta Searcy of Bell Avenue in New Castle faces four charges, including, aggravated robbery, endangering children, obstructing official business and resisting arrest. He's being held at the Trumbull County Jail on $1,000,000 bond.

Police say evidence of their crimes including an air soft pellet gun that looks identical to a real gun were found in the suspect's car.

Liberty Police Detective-Sergeant Tom Couche says, "We have an adult suspect that did talk to us and give us information. We do believe at this point that they were involved with five armed robberies, two here in Liberty, two in Youngstown, and one in Campbell."

The victim is relieved that the teenagers are in custody and says her daughter is traumatized by what happened. "I'm happy they're in custody. They need to be in custody, because I feel like they didn't care about me and my daughter's life so why should I care about theirs?"

This victim of crime along with Liberty police want to warn others, before you drive-up or walk-up to an ATM, know your surroundings.

Detective-Sergeant Couche says, "Especially at night. You need to be aware when you're using an ATM. Look around. If you're driving up to an ATM at a bank, and it's closed, and there's nobody around, take a drive around the parking lot first. Make sure you don't see cars around. Don't go to an ATM where it seems like there's a lot of bushes or shrubs nearby where someone can hide. Try and stay away from there. That goes for businesses making night deposits. It's a tough time right now."
