MERCER, Pennsylvania - A police officer has been formally cleared by the district attorney's office after injuring a suspect during a home invasion last month.

Pymatuning Township Police Officer Michael Brown said he had wounded 22-year-old Jessi Hudson after shots were fired at him from a residence along Route 18.

Police say Hudson barricaded himself inside the home, but was eventually apprehended by the county critical response team.

Investigators say Hudson shot and wounded a woman inside the residence.

After an investigation into Brown's actions was prompted following the incident, the district attorney concluded in a release, "That the actions of officer Brown were fully and completely justified under the laws of this Commonwealth and he committed no criminal offense."

Hudson faces nine charges including assault, burglary, and making terroristic threats.
