PITTSBURGH (AP) - A western Pennsylvania woman claims her unborn child died after she didn't get adequate treatment in jail.

The lawsuit filed over the weekend by 33-year-old Loni Mori claims that authorities at the Allegheny County Jail ignored her requests for care in Nov. 2011, when she was about 8 months pregnant.

Mori's attorney says she had a drug problem but has kicked it. Attorney Robert N. Peirce III says she's working now but is despondent about losing her child.

County Solicitor Andrew Szefi declined to comment.

Alleghey County Executive Rich Fitzgerald announced plans last October to invite private firms to bid on providing health care at the jail. Several lawsuits filed by former inmates and families of dead inmates have complained about inadequate care at the jail.
