Robots ascend on YSU for annual competition

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Machine-heads showed off their mechanical creations at Youngstown State University Tuesday morning.

Teams of area middle and high school students met for the 15th annual Northeast Ohio Robotics Education Program Competition at YSU's Beeghly Center.

Students put their robots on display for judges using an obstacle course.

    The Youngstown Bomb Squad has been dispatched to investigate the discovery of what is being described as a musical instrument case found outside a building in Warren. A security guard spotted the case near a pillar at the Gibson Building on East Market Street at around 5 p.m. Wednesday. Police and the fire department have been dispatched to the area, awaiting arrival of the bomb squad. It is not known what, if anything, is inside the case.
