SEBRING, Ohio - A teacher is back in the classroom Thursday after a temporary, 12-day suspension.

Dozens of parents questioning the suspension, showed up in support of the 3rd grade teacher, Betsy Walsh, at Wednesday evening's Sebring Local Schools board meeting.

The school's superintendent tells 21 News Walsh was placed on leave while the school investigated concerns that were brought to the board's attention.

Both the superintendent and members of the teacher's union would not comment specifically on what those concerns were.

Parents we spoke with are just relieved Walsh will return in the morning.

"This is great," said parent Tracie McFerren after the meeting. "We're really excited, the children are going to be thrilled in the morning to have their teacher back."

Parent Natalie Schmid said they started questioning Walsh's suspension the first day they found out she wasn't in the classroom and they started rallying on the second day.

"We had a peaceful rally out in front of this school just trying to tell them we wanted our teacher back," she said.

Walsh was paid during the time off.
