Intoxicated man arrested with weapon at elementary school

PULASKI TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Police arrested a New Bedford man after an incident at Pulaski Elementary School Wednesday.

A school security guard witnessed James Caszatt Jr., of 197 Hyland Lane, drive onto a curb outside the school then exit his vehicle appearing intoxicated. After seeing a large, sheathed knife, the guard notified police.

Police found that Caszatt, who said he was at the school to pick up a neighbor's kid, was under the influence of narcotics and had on him a baggy of Hydrocodone pills.

Caszatt was arraigned in front of District Judge Jerry Cartwright for possession of a weapon on school property, driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia and released on a $10,000 bond.
