Workers at St. Joe's agree on union contract

WARREN, Ohio - Support Service Workers at St. Joseph's Hospital will not be picketing come Monday morning.

One hundred eighty members of Teamsters Local 377 now have a new contract that went into effect immediately after voting it's passage on Friday.

According to the bargaining team, the membership is very split between those in favor and those against.

While the union made some gains in the agreement, some members are still unhappy with the changes to the pension plan.

"They wanted to freeze the defining benefit and offer an enhanced 403-B. That was one of the bigger sticking points. People didn't want to give up their pensions and they're not comfortable with the 403-B," said Bobbi Terwilliger with Teamsters Local 377.
