YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Millcreek MetroParks will be getting some upgrades this year.
Park commissioners approved capital improvements of more than $659,000.
That money will pay for obtaining right of way and land for phase three of the bikeway trails and for bridge cleaning and painting for the Slippery Rock Bridge.
There are also plans to construct a wooden fence around the MetroPark Farms.
Other projects funded with general fund dollars include improvements to the golf course and grounds, and completion of the Wick Recreation Area adventure and tot playgrounds.
