Pa. table games revenue declines in February

Posted: Updated:

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Pennsylvania gambling regulators are reporting gross revenue from table games was down slightly last month over the same period in 2012.

The gaming board says the state's 11 casinos brought in $55.3 million in gross revenue from table games in February. That's a decline of 2.1% from $56.6 million in February 2012, which had an extra day because it was a leap year.

Presque Isle Downs Casino in Erie was down more than 45%. It's facing new competition from a casino in Cleveland.

Earlier this month, gaming regulators said gross revenue from slot machines was down more than 9% in February.

When combined with the table games figures released Monday, that means total gross gaming revenue in Pennsylvania was down 7.7% last month.
