WEST TOWNSHIP, Ohio - A preliminary report shows a storage tank explosion on Knox School Road was sparked by static electricity.
Atlas Energy, a company involved in natural gas and oil, owns the tank and is investigating exactly how the explosion occured.
No injuries or property damage other than the tank itself has been reported.
A representative with the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency says there was no environmental harm done either.@
