Former mayoral candidate and teacher charged with inappropriately touching students

MIDDLEFIELD, Ohio - A former Cortland mayoral candidate and school teacher plead not guilty to charges that  he inappropriately touched a number of students.

Bond was set at $500 for 44-year-old Sam Paskey had been arrested Tuesday in response to a Geauga County school investigation.

Paskey had been placed on administrative leave  on February 26th in response to the student claims, and police got involved on March 5th.

Paskey previously ran for mayor last November in Cortland.
