Ohio's Cedar Point donates coaster parts to museum

Posted: Updated:

SANDUSKY, Ohio (AP) - Two Cedar Point roller coasters are gone from the amusement park along Lake Erie but they won't be forgotten.

Park officials in Sandusky have donated pieces of the Wildcat and Disaster Transport coasters to a group that runs the National Roller Coaster Museum.

The museum doesn't have a permanent home right now so the coaster parts will go to a storage building in Texas.

The Sandusky Register reports that a member of the museum's board says they hope to search for permanent future home for the museum.
