Supporters of the Second Amendment gather in Sharon

Posted: Updated:

SHARON, Pennsylvania - No more gun laws, that's the message from Second Amendment supporters at a rally in Sharon.

They gathered at the municipal building on Saturday afternoon.

Supporters at the rally said additional legislation is not necessary and that Congress should push for stronger enforcement of existing laws.

"If we really want to reduce crime, the focus should be on criminals. The focus should not be on taking away the rights of law abiding citizens. We have god given rights and the majority of us in Pennsylvania are not going to allow those to be taken away,"

State Representative Daryl Metcalfe will be introducing a measure in Pennsylvania's legislature that will keep new federal gun laws from affecting the state.

According to the Huffington Post, there have been more than 2,200 gun deaths since the Newtown massacre.
