TRUMBULL COUNTY, Ohio - A suppression hearing is scheduled today for a man accused of killing his parents in September of 2011.
The hearing is being held in Trumbull County Court this morning.
He is charged with two counts of aggravated murder in the deaths of his parents Phil and Frances Mann.
Those charges carry death penalty specifications.
According to an affidavit by the detective who interviewed Louis Mann, after being released from the jail, Louis Mann was cooking a hamburger in his parents' Jefferson Street home during the incident when he and his mother suddenly got into a dispute about his child.
Mann grabbed a clothesline and strangled his mother to death.
Philip Mann then came into the room with a rifle, but Louis got the gun away from his father, then beat his father with a flashlight before shooting him.
Louis Mann would be arrested Saturday, October 1, 2011 at the Capri Motel in Howland.
