YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A former candidate for Mahoning County Commissioner is making a federal case out of his trash bill.

Businessman Sam Moffie filed a federal lawsuit on behalf of two bars he owns, Youngstown's Coconut Grove and Bill's Place in Austintown.

The suit claims Browning Ferris Industries raised his garbage collection fees 700 percent over twelve years from just over $200 to more than $1,000.

Moffie's suit asks for $75,000 in damages.
