Mayoral candidates speak their case at Regional Chamber of Commerce

Posted: Updated:

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio- The Youngstown Regional Chamber of Commerce served up a debate between the Mayoral candidates this morning at it's Good Morning Youngstown breakfast.

Jamal Tito Brown and John McNally took turns with a microphone and addressed what they believe are the biggest issues facing Youngstown.

Tito Brown said his focus would be marketing the city to bring in big business. McNally highlighted cleaning up the neighborhoods so businesses would then thrive in neighborhoods that are currently falling apart.

Both candidates agreed the next mayor needs to move the city in forward direction, a sentiment was echoed by chamber leaders such as Tony Paglia.

"We need strong leadership because we are changing," Paglia said. "There is opportunity for growth but at the same time, Youngstown still has problems. We have problems in the neighborhood we have problems with the budget and we need someone who can take that leadership."

Youngstown residents will be able to cast their vote for Mayor on May 7th.
