YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Students and faculty from Choffin Career and Technical Center will be receiving training for Substance Abuse Mental Health Screening and Reporting on Monday at 8:15 a.m.
Neil Kennedy Recovery Clinic community service director Doug Wentz will present Choffin's Adult Education and Biotechnology and Health Magnet programs will have 165 people in the SAMSA training program.
This is the first presentation of this kind for high school students. Only postsecondary schools have offered this training.
SAMSA teaches students to recognize substance abuse in the workplace and other areas. Referral and treatment will be discussed during training, as well as the cost of substance abuse in the Mahoning Valley.
