Great Groceries: Broccoli Salad

Broccoli Salad

The weather is getting nicer which usually means more salads. This is a great broccoli salad with cheese and bacon... delicious!

1/3 cup hot water

4 Tbsp. sugar

2 heads broccoli cut into small pieces

4 Tbsp. vinegar

1 cup mayonnaise

2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese

1 lb. bacon, cooked and crumbled

1 medium red onion, minced

1/2 cup slivered almonds

Place broccoli in a large bowl. In a small bowl combine sugar and water; pour overtop broccoli. Add vinegar, mayonnaise, cheese, bacon, onion and almonds. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
